ChatTrack privacy policy

ChatTrack helps you understand brand visibility in AI answers. Contact sam@chattrack.app about privacy, access to your information or deletion requests.

Information we process

We process your sign-in email address, account identifier and profile information, together with the account memberships and permissions needed to provide access to ChatTrack. We also process project settings, prompts and the report information used by the features you choose to use. Information you provide when contacting support is used to answer your request.

Google sign-in

When you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your account identifier, verified email address and basic profile information, such as your name and profile image, to our authentication provider, Neon. We use this information to authenticate you and associate your sign-in with your ChatTrack account.

Google sign-in requests only identity information. It does not grant ChatTrack access to Google Analytics, Search Console, Gmail or Drive. Analytics connections, if offered, require separate authorization and a notice describing their use. You may choose email-code sign-in instead where available.

We do not sell Google sign-in information or use it for advertising or AI model training. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.

Optional analytics connections

Where Google Analytics connections are available, they require separate read-only authorization and can use a different Google account from your sign-in. You select the GA4 property and website hostnames. We retrieve session acquisition, engagement, dates and landing-page paths to provide referral reports. We do not request individual visitor identities, raw events, conversions or revenue, or install a new tracking tag.

We store the selected property and hostname settings and an encrypted Google refresh token on the server so reports can be refreshed without repeated consent. Normalised reports may be cached in bounded server memory for up to 15 minutes; raw Analytics reports are not persisted in our database or object storage. Access is checked against the relevant account and project permissions. Google Analytics data is used to provide the requested reporting feature, not for advertising, sales profiling or AI model training, and is not sold.

You can disconnect a connection in its settings to remove its stored credentials and selection. Disconnecting Analytics does not sign you out of ChatTrack. You can also remove ChatTrack's authorization in your Google Account; this can affect other connections using the same Google grant. No analytics connection automatically opts you into benchmarks. Search Console integration is not currently offered.

Service providers and security

Neon processes authentication and database information. Vercel provides application hosting, and Resend delivers ChatTrack sign-in and account emails. Cloudflare provides domain services and storage used by certain features. Monitoring and research providers process the questions, keywords or location information submitted for those features. The campaign setup notice explains setup research in more detail. These providers process the information needed to operate their respective services. Google handles the Google account authorization process. Providers may process information outside your country.

Session cookies keep you signed in. Browser storage may remember interface preferences and your last selected website. You can clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or reset those preferences. Account and project permissions restrict access to private reports. Operational access to the underlying infrastructure is necessary to maintain the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and your choices

We retain account and project information needed to provide the service. Contact sam@chattrack.app to request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity and distinguish your personal information from records belonging to a shared customer account. Security, backup and legally required records may have different retention requirements.

You can remove ChatTrack's authorization in your Google Account connections. Removing a Google authorization does not itself delete your ChatTrack account or shared project records. Contact us if you also want your ChatTrack information deleted.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show its effective date. A new feature that accesses additional Google information must explain that use before requesting authorization.
